Death Strikes between Capulet and Montague Rivalry

Verona City – It started from a bright, sunny day in Verona when red blood took over as innocent Mercutio died from a sly stab to the stomach and in the midst of chaos, the murderer of Mercutio dies as well.

It began from the feud between fierce Tybalt and helpless Romeo. Tybalt approached Mercutio and Benvolio, because he was in search of Romeo. Once Romeo arrived, Tybalt confronted trying to persuade Romeo to fight him. Innocent Romeo, didn’t want any fight with the Montagues since he had recently married Juliet. He even protested saying he has a reason to love him which he cannot know for now and that he has done no harm to him. Tybalt continued arguing with Romeo and called him a villain. Romeo, however, was remaining calm as he only wanted to collaborate with Tybalt and deal the scenario out without any violence.

Despite Romeo’s intensions, Tybalt burst with anger at Romeo and helpless Romeo tried to avoid him. Friendly Mercutio could not withstand Romeo being dishonoured by Tybalt and didn’t like the fact the Romeo was being assertive towards the way Tybalt was talking to him. Mercutio willingly stepped in and drew out his sword to fight Tybalt. Tybalt stabbed Mercutio and fled out of the scene. Mercutio eventually died but he made his word before he had passed on. He stated clearly to Romeo and Benvolio that the feud between both houses had caused death and a war of emotions which has not helped solve the feud at all.

After seeing his best friend die right in front of him, by the hands of Tybalt, Romeo decided it was time he put aside his feelings of mercy and consideration. He was furious and was overtaken by the desire of revenge. Once Tybalt arrived once again, Romeo let his feelings of fury guide his actions and challenged to fight Tybalt. Before Benvolio could stop the fight, Romeo had killed Tybalt.

The citizens of the town had witnessed some sort of commotion. When the first citizen arrived to ask who started the fight, Benvolio simply pointed at Tybalt’s dead body. Later, when Lady Capulet and the Prince arrived, Benvolio explained everything that had happened carefully to the Prince without leaving out any details. Lady Capulet was extremely furious and wanted one of the Montague member to die to pay for the price of Tybalt’s death. In the end, the Prince decided that Romeo be exiled from Verona since he was still guilty of murder.
